Curve Cuts: 6th professional season. Hit 60 career homers, breaking former big leaguer Matt Williams Nevada state record for most career home runs. Set the Nevada state record with 195 career RBI at Galena HS in Reno, NV. Was named first-team Baseball America High School All-American in his senior year
2008 Season: Began the year at High-A Lynchburg. Had 15 multi-hit games at Lynchburg. Hit all eight home runs with the Hillcats vs. right-handed pitchers. Went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI vs. Kinston on 5/1. Had back-to-back multi-hit games vs. Potomac on 6/2-3, going a combined 5-for-9 with a homer and 4 RBI. Went on a seven-game hitting streak (9-of-28.321) from 6/7-13. Tossed out 28% (27-of-97) of would-be base stealers. Promoted to Double-A Altoona on 6/26. Made his first Curve start in game one of a 6/28 doubleheader @ Bowie and homered off rehabbing Baltimore Orioles lefty Adam Loewen for his first Double-A hit. Broke out of a 2-for-28 (.071) slide with a 3-for-3 game on 8/8 vs. Harrisburg. Left game vs. Portland on 8/20 with a mild concussion after being hit in the mask by a foul ball. Placed on the DL from 8/21-29, missing eight games. Finished the season on a tear, hitting.341 (14-for-41) over his final 13 games. Threw out 18-of-37 (48.6%) potential base stealers
2007 Season: Spent the entire season with High-A Lynchburg. Threw out 39.7% (48-of-121) of potential base stealers, leading all Carolina League catchers. Led all Carolina League catchers with 25 passed balls. Placed on the Hillcats Temporary Inactive List from 4/13-5/8 because of a death in the family. Posted a.274 average (17-for-62) in 20 games during the month of May. Batted just.183 (38-for-208) from June 1 to the end of the season. Recorded his second career two homer game and matched a season high with four RBI @ Kinston on 8/2. Placed on the DL with a sprained thumb on 8/27 and missed the rest of the season
2006 Season: Played in a career high 117 games with Low-A Hickory. Was a South Atlantic League mid-season All-Star Selection. Struck out 146 times, fourth-most among all SAL batters. Smacked two doubles in a 4-for-4 night on 4/15 vs. Greensboro. Went 0-for-1 with a RBI for the Northern Division squad at the South Atlantic League All-Star game on 6/20 @ Eastlake, OH. Hit a grand-slam homer on 7/4 vs. Augusta
2005 Season: Began the year with Low-A Hickory. Snapped out of a 2-for-30 (.087) slump with a double, two triples and five RBI en-route to a 3-for-5 night on 4/27 vs. West Virginia. Followed the 3-for-5 game with a 2-for-47 (.043) skid in his last 14 games with the Crawdads before landing on the DL on 5/16 with a right hand contusion. Missed nearly three months before beginning a rehab./GCL Pirates on 8/2. Homered in back-to-back games on 8/17-18. Promoted to Short-A Williamsport on 8/26. Singled in his only at-bat for Williamsport in the NY-Penn League playoffs
2004 Season: Began the year with Bradenton in the Gulf Coast League. Ranked 4th among all GCL hitters with 12 doubles. Drilled two homers with a season-high four RBI on 7/26 @ GCL Red Sox. Appeared in 48 games with the GCL Bucs, 25 games behind the plate and 23 games as the DH. Called up to Short-A Williamsport on 8/27, where he played in eight games with the Crosscutters
2003 Season: Missed the entire season with a broken foot
