2008:
Spent entire season with Altoona, going 5-8 with a 4.19 ERA in 28 games (22 starts)... Led Curve pitchers with 93 strikeouts in 109.2 innings... Was 0-5 with a 6.12 ERA (42.2 IP/29 ER) thru 14 appearances (9 starts), but posted a 5-4 record and 2.96 ERA (67.0 IP/22 ER) over his last 14 outings (13 starts)... Selected as the Curve’s Opening Day starter 4/3 vs. Reading and took the loss, allowing six runs over 3.2 innings in Altoona’s 8-3 loss... Surrendered 13 earned runs in 11.1 innings (10.32 ERA) over his first three starts... Matched a season-high with seven strikeouts and allowed only one run over 5.0 innings, but was handed the loss in the Curve’s 3-0 defeat @ Reading on 5/9... Was winless after 18 appearances, including 12 starts, but notched first victory on 7/9 @ Trenton, allowing two unearned runs and striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings in Altoona’s 7-2 win... 2007:
Made 25 starts for Lynchburg (A) and two for Altoona, combining to go 10-13 with a 5.18 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 139.0 innings pitched... Spent majority of the year pitching in the Carolina League with Lynchburg and ranked tied for the most losses in the league (12) and tied for 4th in home runs allowed (14)... Finished 4th among Pirates’ farmhands in both wins (10) and strikeouts (100)... Tossed 7.0 scoreless innings and allowed only three hits to earn the win in his season debut on 4/9 vs. Frederick... Went 5-1 with a 3.03 ERA (32.2 IP/11 ER) in six starts during the month of May... Tossed first career complete game, a shutout, vs. Potomac on 5/26 (7.0 IP, 9 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K)... Threw a season-high 8.0 innings and did not allow a run in a victory @ Frederick on 7/11 and was the first Hillcats’ pitcher to be named Carolina League Pitcher of the Week for his effort... Promoted to Altoona for a spot start on 8/1 and made Double-A debut in game two of that night’s doubleheader vs. Reading -- suffered the defeat in Altoona’s 3-2 loss (5.0 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K)... Sent back to Lynchburg and made five starts for the Hillcats during the month of August, going 0-4 with a 10.55 ERA (21.1 IP/25 ER)... Struck out a career-high 10 batters over 7.0 innings on 8/17 @ Wilmington... Returned to Altoona for his final start of the season in game two of the 9/1 doubleheader @ Erie and earned the victory, tossing 5.0 scoreless innings (3 H, 4 BB, 3 K)

2006:
Went 7-8 with a 4.30 ERA in 25 starts for Lynchburg (A)... Led the Hillcats’ pitching staff and finished 3rd among all Pirates’ minor leaguers with 108 strikeouts... Yielded 61 walks, which ranked 4th in the Carolina League... Opened season by tossing 11.1 consecutive scoreless innings... Matched a season-high with five walks, but tossed 6.0 scoreless frames to pick up the victory on 6/7 @ Myrtle Beach (4 H, 4 K)... Struck out eight and worked the first 5.1 innings of a combination five-hit shutout on 6/20 vs. Kinston (4 H, 2 BB)... Opened game with 5.2 no-hit innings before allowing his only hit in a win @ Wilmington on 6/30 (5.2 IP, 1 BB, 6 K)... Equaled a season-high with nine strikeouts over 5.0 IP in a loss vs. Myrtle Beach on 8/15... Promoted to Altoona on 9/4, but did not appear in a game for the Curve

2005:
Split first full pro season between Hickory (A) and Lynchburg (A), combining to go 7-6 with a 3.87 ERA in 24 starts... Left-handed hitters managed just a .176 average (18x102) between the two levels... Began with Hickory and went 4-1 with a 1.87 ERA in 12 starts en route to being named a mid-season South Atlantic League All-Star... Allowed one run or fewer in nine of 12 starts for the Crawdads... Yielded only one run in four April starts (18.1 IP)... Named SAL Pitcher of the Week for the week of 5/23-5/29 after allowing just one run in 12.0 IP in a pair of wins during the week... Whiffed a season-high 10 batters over 6.2 innings of work on 6/4 (game two) vs. Savannah... Promoted to Lynchburg on 6/13 and went 3-5 with a 5.86 ERA in 12 starts... Placed on the D.L. on 6/19 with a left shoulder injury and remained out of action until being activated on 7/14... Tossed 6.0 scoreless innings and allowed three hits in notching the win on 7/29 @ Myrtle Beach... Won final start of the season after allowing two runs (one earned) over 6.0 innings on 9/4 @ Salem (4 H, 3 BB, 2 K)

2004:
Signed with Pittsburgh on 6/16 after being selected in the 5th round of the June draft... Spent first season with short-season Williamsport (A) and went 4-3 with a 2.60 ERA in 12 starts... Limited New York-Penn League hitters to a .209 average... Dropped first three decisions before winning four consecutive starts from 8/8-8/25... Matched a season-high with eight strikeouts in consecutive starts on 8/14 (game one) @ Hudson Valley and 8/19 @ New Jersey.
