6:00 a.m.
Under clear skies and 24 degree temperatures, seven out-STANDING fan hopefuls are currently standing outside the main gates of Blair County Ballpark with one of their appendages attached to life size bobble heads that are caricatures of Altoona Curve mascots, Steamer and Diesel Dawg. They are doing this in an effort to win two Grandstand season tickets valued at $710.
All seven gentlemen arrived at 6:00 a.m. when the contest promptly began. One local celebrity participating is Q94 Morning Show host Adam Erikson, who has taken his act on the road and is doing live updates on the radio. Also, MILB.com (Minor League Baseball's official website) writer Benjamin Hill, who traveled from New York City for the contest is participating and will document his experience.
Here are the bold, brave, and very cold contestants

• Adam “Erikson” Baker, 38, from Altoona

Q94 Morning Show host Adam Erikson's legs gave out. Six hours and 41 minutes into the contest, the Curve's first fan went down.
Now only six remain...
Both WJAC-TV (NBC) and WTAJ-TV (CBS) did feature stories in their 12:00 p.m. newscast on what was at the time The Magnificent Seven.
Some of the more noteworthy stories revealed on the news was that contestant Bruce Legros actually came to the event wearing a man-diaper in the event he would, well, you know...
Also, Benjamin Hill from MILB.com revealed that he has not slept since Wednesday night.
6:44 p.m.
Brad Krug with an inadvertant slip off Diesel Dawg is eliminated.
6:56 p.m.
Duane Inks has his knee lock up after 12 hours and 56 minutes and cries uncle.
8:03 p.m.
Benjamin Hill of MILB.com, with one hand occupied for a cell phone call inadvertantly 'waved goodbye' to an adoring fan and completely forgot that he had removed all limbs from the bobble head. DISQUALIFIED.
8:53 p.m.
Due to dangerously cold conditions and the fact that three fans remained on their feet well into the night -- totally 14 hours and 53 minutes, the Curve awarded brothers Bruce and Tim Legros season tickets along with 14-year old marathon man Chris Michelone both Grandstand season tickets for the 2009 season.
A total of $1,420 in tickets were provided as prizes to the three most OUT-STANDING fans.
